On May 25, 2023 we celebrated the closing event of the MRU ANFACO-EMENASA Future Factory Food 4P – FFF4P. ANFACO-CECOPESCA and EMENASA INDUSTRIA presented together with the Xunta de Galicia the results of this Consolidation MRU under the title “Implementation of Hyperspectral Technology in the Food Industry“. This conference was held at the headquarters of EMENASA INDUSTRIA and through the visit to the plant the prototypes developed in this project were shown.
The technology center ANFACO-CECOPESCA and EMENASA INDUSTRIA presented the results of this collaboration presenting the potential that hyperspectral technology can bring applied to food control. This technology can be key for the sector allowing to automate the inspection processes and obtaining the results during the process in the plant. Chemical images of products can be used to determine their quality, nutritional characteristics: moisture, fat, protein, etc.; textures; product conformity, etc.
The conference counted with the participation, in order of intervention, of José García Costas, president of EMENASA Industria y Automatismos, S.A.; Roberto Alonso, general secretary of ANFACO-CECOPESCA; Fernando Cao, director of EMENASA Industria y Automatismos, S.A.; and Francisco Conde, first vice-president and conselleiro of Economy, Industry and Innovation of the Xunta de Galicia.
